CAROL P. DABNER APPOINTED BY TEXAS SUPREME COURT TO SERVE ON GUARDIAN CERTIFICATION BOARD
The Texas Supreme Court has appointed attorney Carol P. Dabner of Dallas’ Underwood Perkins, P.C. to serve on the State’s Guardianship Certification Board. The appointment, for a three year term, is generally recognized to be an acknowledgment of superior expertise in the area of guardianship and related law. The Guardianship Certification Board determines the minimum qualifications necessary for an individual to be certified by the State of Texas as a guardian.
Ms. Dabner, a member of the Texas and Wisconsin Bars, practices in the areas of guardianships, probate and elder law. She has also served on the boards of the Dallas Legal Hospice, Autism Treatment Center and as Co-Chair of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Legal Aid to the Elderly Committee.
As further recognition of her unique expertise and experience, Ms. Dabner was recently certified by the National Guardianship Foundation and elected to serve on the Executive Council of the Dallas Bar Association’s Probate Section. She resides in Highland Village with her husband, Rick, and two sons, Ricky and Quincy.
