Director practicing in litigation and arbitration, primarily involving tort, complex commercial matters and employment. Tort law experience includes the prosecution and defense of personal injury, common-law fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, Deceptive Trade Practices and products liability matters. Of special importance is Mr. Perkins' leadership in the area of employers who have "opted out" of the Texas Workers' Compensation system. He has been a featured presenter at numerous conferences, seminars and workshops in this area of the law. He currently is serving his 8th year on the Board of Directors of TXANS (Texas Association of Responsible Non-Subscribers, a non-profit organization based in Austin). The employment law areas include representing employers in matters involving Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OFCCP and FLSA. The commercial litigation areas of experience include enforcement and defense of non-compete agreements, banking litigation, construction and real estate litigation and oil and gas litigation in state and federal courts. Rated "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubble for more than ten years, Mr. Perkins has achieved the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
